Doris J. Olson, 96, passed away peacefully on December, 17, 2018. She was born on April 27, 1922 in Green Bay to the late Anton and Alma (Johnson) Larsen. Doris was a 1940 graduate of West High School.

She worked in the office at the Vocational School (NWTC) before enlisting in the Marines during WWII. She primarily served in Philadelphia where she met the love of her life, Harry Olson. They were married on June 14, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Bay, where she was a lifelong member.

Doris was a loving and supportive mother who enjoyed following the many activities of her children and grandchildren. She and Harry loved to travel, taking many family trips with their children and later as snowbirds to Arizona. Doris loved to play cards, read, bowl and follow the Brewers and Packers.

She will be remembered for her smile, laugh and her positive outlook on life. She is survived by her children, Sandra (John) Rasmussen, Thomas (Joan) Olson, Debra (Gary) Hendricks; daughter in law, Jenn Olson; grandchildren, Paul (Jennica) Rasmussen, Suzanne (Anthony) Iacovelli, Timothy (Kathy) Olson, Daniel Olson, Kristin Olson, Stephanie Olson, Jennifer (fiancé, Craig) Hendricks, Carolyn (James) Theys, Meghan (Andrew) Tribble, Ashley Olson, Savannah Olson, Dane Olson, Sabrina Fisher, Dallas Fisher; great grandchildren, Peyton Olson, Emory Tribble, Axel Tribble and Madeline Tribble; sister in law, Deloris Olson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Olson; son, Jeffery Olson; her parents; and many brothers and sisters in law.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 330 South Broadway Avenue, from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 21, 2018 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, from 12:00 pm until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rachel Knoke officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Woodside Manor and Woodside Nursing home for all of their care and compassion.
