Doris Rosemary Ferris, age 81, of Bushnell, passed away at 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 29, 1937 in Rushville, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Hannah Hickman Doyle. She married Keith Ferris on January 9, 1956 in Oxnard, California.

She is survived by her husband Keith, her children Jackie (Rodney) Lewallen of Niota, Everett (Linda) Ferris of Bushnell, Billie Ferris of Macomb, Jerri Askew of Macomb, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Wanda Mason, and Iva Mae Hickman, and one brother Richard Doyle Jr. Doris had lived in Bushnell since 1956 and had worked as an RN for many years before her retirement. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Clugston – Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.

Rev. Lee Unger will officiate. The family will meet with friends from 12 noon until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Following the funeral services cremation rites will be accorded and private burial of ashes will be held at a later time at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Memorials for Doris may be made to OSF Hospice.
