Obituary for Dorothea Carole Wyman 75, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 25, 2018 while visiting Raleigh, NC. She was born January 4, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late James Bardsley and Marian O’Rourke Bardsley. Dorothea served as Pastoral Associate for Parish Life at the Cathedral of the Assumption, where she was a beloved member of the Cathedral community.

She contributed her time and talents to many aspects of their ministry including serving as Chair of the Stewardship Committee, Coordinator of Volunteers, Leader of Grief Support groups, Coordinator of the Generations of Faith program, and helping start the Golden Stars, a senior ministry. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Clay Wyman. Dorothea is survived by daughters, Catherine L. Schuler (Jeff), Victoria Bardsley and Mary Margaret Wyman (Alex Lastovich); sons, Howard L. Wyman (Ruthe), Ronald P. Wyman; eight grandchildren; sisters, Luanne Obergfell (David) and Marian Spencer; sisters-in-law, Mollie Stanfield and Rose Marie Wyman, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth Street, Louisville. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2018 between 5:00 and 8:00 PM at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery of Ft.

Wayne, Ft. Wayne, IN at 2:00 PM on Monday June 4, 2018. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Catholic Charities USA or to the Cathedral of the Assumption to further support their senior ministry.
