Dittmar, 90, of Lansdale, PA passed away on January 1, 2019 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital in Lansdale. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Dittmar who passed away in 1980. Born January 19, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Leon and the late Odella (nee Charleston) Hyde.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Joseph Dittmar (Alison), of Lansdale ,and Pat Ortiz (Ed), of Quakertown, her three grandchildren, Lenny Dittmar (Jane), Jeff Dittmar (Amy), and Chris Ortiz (Kristin), her six great-grandchildren, her two great-great-grandchildren, and her step-sister, Evelyn Prenot. She was also preceded in death by her brother, the late Leon Hyde. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday morning, January 5, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446 where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM.

Burial will be held privately by her family at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to The Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Lane North, Golden Valley, MN 55422, and would be deeply appreciated by her family.
