OBITUARY Dorothy A. Willeford January 12, 1937 – August 19, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Services celebrating the life of Dorothy Ann Willeford will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 24th, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gevan Spinney officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 23rd, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial funeral home at 601 US Highway 80 East, Haughton, LA 71037.

Dorothy was born to Clarence and Ida Bushey in Northampton, MA on January 12, 1937. She was a longtime resident of Bossier Parish and a member of First Baptist Haughton. She worked as an activities director in the nursing home industry for 30 years.

Dorothy’s talents were many – she was a skilled cook, a joyful singer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her love of singing Karaoke for her family, for hula-hooping with her grandchildren, and for her warm heartfelt hugs and kisses. Mrs. Willeford passed peacefully last Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 81.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry King, second husband, Mitchell Eugene Willeford, son, Wayne John King, and daughter, Patricia Ann Shelton. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Debra Gene Evans (Gene) and Janet Marie Ussery (Terry); sons, John Fredrick King (Caroline) and Steven Joseph King; daughter-in-law, Susan King; granddaughters, Angela Montier, Melissa Gilley, Amanda Goodrick, and Jennifer Mulkey; Grandsons, Matthew Shelton, Tyler Evans, and Christopher King, and many great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be son-in law Terry Ussery, and grandsons, Stephen Gilley, Matthew Shelton, Ian Goodrick, Tyler Evans, and Christopher King.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and nurse aids at Heritage House in Keller, Texas for the loving care and support shown, not just to Dorothy in her time of need, but to her family as well.
