Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy C. Lindemann, age 80, of Mapleton, died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton with a visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore at a later date.

Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Dorothy Carole, the daughter of George and Adelaide (Aldridge) Joyce, was born on May 16, 1938 in Bronx, NY. She graduated from Blessed Sacrament Academy in Yonkers, NY.

Dorothy married Clinton Lindemann on March 28, 1957 in New York. Together with Clinton, they moved to Rushmore, MN to farm and start a family. Clinton joined the Highway Patrol and they moved around Minnesota.

Dorothy graduated from Bemidji State University with her Masters of Education and taught English. She also taught the GED program at the correctional facility in Mankato. She was an active member at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton and volunteered at nursing homes.

Dorothy enjoyed baking for her children and grandchildren, crossword puzzles, knitting and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clinton Lindemann of Mapleton; children, Jeffrey (Coleen) Lindemann of Mapleton, Timothy (Phyllis) Lindemann of Windom, and Brian (Dee) Lindemann of Faribault; 24 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and brother in law, Bill McColl of Rye, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents in law; daughter, Michelle Lindemann; grandson, Todd Moore; and sister, Alice McColl.
