OBITUARY Dorothy “Dot” Mae Theriot August 24, 1941 – September 17, 2018 Dorothy “Dot” Theriot, 77, of Grand Chenier, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Dot was a member of St. Eugene’s Catholic Church; enjoyed cooking for her family and working in her flower gardens. She was retired from the US Postal Service after 31 years of service and was a school board member for numerous years.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Freddie Theriot of Grand Chenier; daughters, Margaret and John Bucklin of Jennings, Nina and Arnold Jones, Jr., Nadine Richard and partner Richard Dahlen and Christine Theriot of Grand Chenier and Jennifer Kay and Terry Picou of Cameron; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Grand Chenier on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10:00am with Father Clyde Thomas officiating. Visitation will be at St. Eugene Catholic Church Hall on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm.

Visitation will resume at St. Eugene Catholic Church Hall on Wednesday, from 8:00am until the Mass at the church at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grand Chenier. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.
