OBITUARY Ronald Joseph Simien Sr. October 24, 1956 – October 23, 2018 Ronald Joseph Simien Sr., age 61, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on October 24, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Ron proudly served and retired from the US Airforce.

He actively served in Desert Shield/Storm earning multiple metals and accommodations. He also retired from the USPS after twenty years. He was an active member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Lake Charles.

Ron’s favorite role in life was being a “PaPa”. He was preceded in death by father, John Ivory Simien and mother, Viola Jean Martin. Those left behind to cherish his memories are son, Ronald Joseph Simien, Jr. of Cherryville, North Carolina; son, Marlon Brent Simien(Tisha) of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Kimberly Ann Simien of Lake Charles; adopted daughter, Rebecca Ann Brown of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Fabian Tomaz, Frazier, Brent Joseph Simien, and Bryan Joseph Leger; great-granddaughter, Armani Ann Frazier; brother, John Gregory Simien of Lake Charles; sister, Darlene Simien of Lake Charles; numerous other relatives and loved ones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Lake Charles. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. JEHixson.com for the Simien family.
