Obit of Dorothy G. Cobert Dorothy Grace “Dottie” Cobert 77 of Lorain, passed away peacefully at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph of Lorain following a long illness. She was born in Newport, RI coming to Lorain in 1959 and a graduate of Rogers High School in Newport, RI class of 1959. She was a homemaker and seamstress.

Dottie was a member of Mt. Zion AME in Newport, RI. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crossword puzzles, family gatherings, craft projects, spending time with family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Sonji (Robert) Mouser of Amherst, Stephanie Massey of Erie, PA, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Eleanor (George) Logan of Flint, MI, Lois Remong of Newport, RI and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy “Mail Man” Cobert, parents Gwyn and Cornelia Remong, sisters Audrey Massey and Frances Pendelton, brother Stanley Pendelton. Friends may call on Saturday April 28th, 2018, in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave.

, Lorain, OH 44055 from 4:00 p.m. until time of service 5:00. Elder Alberta King of Worship Cathedral will officiate. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Home, Inc., 3001 Elyria Ave.
