Dorothy (Dottie) E. Roper, 63, most recently of Revere, MA, formerly of East Boston, MA, died unexpectedly on November 17, 2018. Dottie fought a long, hard battle with diabetes until ultimately succumbing to her disease. Born in East Boston, Dottie was a lifelong resident of her beloved city before recently moving to Revere.

She was a 1973 graduate of East Boston High School and worked in the insurance industry for several years following high school. She recently retired from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center after being employed with the BIDMC for the past twenty two years. She is survived by her precious cat Taffy, her mother, Theresa Roper, her sisters: Cathy Russo and her husband Johnny, Joany Caponigro and her husband Doug, Loretta DeMarco and her husband Rob, Patty Rickards and her husband Lynn, her brother Larry Roper and his wife Laura, ten loving nephews, a great nephew, two great nieces, and her devoted friend Jo Ann Rubino.
