Dorothy E. Jones, 91, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born September 7, 1927 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Sam Farris and Alma Key Farris. Mrs. Jones retired after 30 years of service as a certified nursing aide, where she had worked at Beaver Dam Health Care Manor and Professional Care of Hartford.

She was a member of Echols General Baptist Church. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by husband, William Jones; two sons, Thomas Edward Jones and Bill Ray Jones and two brothers, James Farris and Charles Farris. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Shelton (Gail) Jones of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Joan (Johnny) Williams of Hartford, Wilda Casteel of Echols, and Becky Owens of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Gloria Jones, Todd Jones, Kelly Baize, Charity O’Brien, Neil O’Brien, Cory Jones, John Jones, Sam Williams; twenty great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and three sisters, Kathleen Geary of Centertown, Patsy Rowe of McHenry, and Effie Raymond of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Echols General Baptist Church in Echols, Kentucky with Rev. Amos Alsman and Rev. Lealin Geary officiating.

Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Jones’s family from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home and 10 A.M. until the time of the service Wednesday at the Church. Online condolences may be left for the family of Mrs. Dorothy E.
