Dorothy E. “Dot” Maroni, 89, of Williamsport, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 21 at Manor Care North. Born October 11, 1928 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Eva D. (Haley) Lord. She was married to Angelo J. Maroni in 1960 and he preceded her in death after 38 years of marriage.

Dot was employed by Wundies as a seamstress. She was a member of Newberry Church of Christ. She enjoyed doing crafts and painting, loved going to the Lincoln Center to play bingo and enjoyed being with friends.

Surviving are two children, son James E. Ritter of Williamsport, daughter, Donna L. (Daniel) Phillips of Duboistown, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Penny E. Steinbacher and granddaughter, Kimmie Ritter. A funeral service to honor the life of Dot will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28 at Sanders.
