Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Margaret Finnerty – Passed away in Dearborn, Michigan on January 7th, 2019. Born May 16, 1928 to the late Francis and Margaret Fellrath. Loving wife for 57 devoted years of the late Robert J. Finnerty.

Proud mother of Susan Finnerty, Kathleen (John) Sheriden, and Carol (Mark) Molloy. Caring grandmother of John, Christopher, and MJ (Mark). Dear sister of the late Robert Fellrath and Marilyn Riley.

Dorothy was a vibrant woman who’s favorite hobby was taking care of her family and being a part of her community. After her children grew and left home she took on a sales position at the local Jacobson’s department store, a career of 14 years she was quite fond of. She was also a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since the day she was baptized until her last breath.

She was the president of the Woman’s Tabernacle Society. Dorothy was a kind and caring soul who will be missed dearly by those with the privilege of knowing her. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11 from 3-8PM with a rosary at 7PM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave.

Funeral Saturday, January 12 10:30AM instate for 11AM mass. Donations in Dorothy’s honor may be made out to the IHM Nuns of Monroe, Michigan.
