Obituary for Dorothy Hunter Dorothy Hunter, 90, passed away on November 4, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was born in Cato, New York and resided in Syracuse, NY before moving to Fort Pierce in 1981. Dorothy retired after 30 years as a teacher and food service director at the Syracuse and Jamesville Dewitt school’s districts and was a member of the Westside Church, Fort Pierce.

Survivors include her brother, Stanley Jewell of Hilton Head, SC; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison, sisters, Jennie McDowell and Virginia Pickard and brother, Gordon Jewell. Services: An inurnment will take place in the Spring in New York.
