Dorothy J. Martin, 82, of Elkhorn, WI, died Sunday September 9, 2018 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. The former Dorothy Jean Vermillion was born in Melrose Park, IL on April 20, 1936 the daughter of the late Sterl and Mary (LaBounty) Vermillion. In November of 1956 at Como Community Church she was united in marriage to Edward D. Martin he; preceded her in death on March 13, 1969.

Dorothy was an avid golfer spending many happy hours on the golf course. She also loved gardening, cooking and watching birds; she was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by: 2 daughters Debbie (William) Lynn of Elkhorn, WI and Dawn (Michael) McBride of Lake Geneva, 8 grandchildren; Jerry, Jennie, Sammie, Katie, Chelsie, John, Mike and Molly and 6 great-grandchildren; Mia, Chianne, Willie, Nasir, Hendrick, and Oliver, and a brother Robert (Carol) Vermillion of Oconomowoc, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Mary Jo Kohler. Services for Dorothy will be held on Friday September 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the main chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva; Pastor Paul VanDeBerg Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
