Obituary for Dorothy Jean “Dot” Sims-Quinn (Sims) Print Dorothy J. “Dot” Sims-Quinn, 69, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019. Born in Uniontown, Alabama, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Roland Jr. and Gracie (Wimes) Sims. Dorothy graduated from Central High School.

She enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Dorothy also enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, and board games. She is survived by her siblings, Lucy Span, Addie (Rev.

A.O.) Carroll, Ann (Bill) Easley, Michael (Mercy) Sims, Kevin (Carol) Prosser, and Carmen (George) Hicks; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Quinn; siblings, May Chapman, James Sims, Mary Rosse, Karthorner “Sonny” and Amzire Sims; special nephews, Jesse Rosse, Jr. and Leonardo Phillips. Calling will be 12 pm until 2 pm, Friday, February 22, 2019 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with burial following in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
