Dorothy L. Hamilton, age 93, former S. Denmark Rd. resident in Jefferson, died Tuesday evening at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Assisted Living Center. She was born October 13, 1925 in Cleveland, the daughter of William T. & Mabel (Bartlett) Quirk and has been a Jefferson resident all of her life.

Dorothy was married to J. Arthur Hamilton on January 29, 1947 in Jefferson. She worked a short time at the General Electric Plant in Jefferson. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, the Women of the Moose Lodge #0583 and the Jefferson Grange #1311, she enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading.

She is survived by three children, Katherine (John) Simon of Jefferson, Kenneth (Lucelia) Hamilton of Uniontown, WA & Keith Hamilton of Harlingen, TX; three grandchildren, Laura Ann Wixted, Curtis Carter Hamilton & Angelina Hamilton and a sister-in-law, Caroline Hazen of Deland, FL. Her parents; her husband, Arthur; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Hamilton and five siblings, Ruth Czarnomski, Betty West, Marge Newhart, Edward Quirk & Bill Quirk all preceded her in death. The family would like to extend a grateful “thank you” to the staff at Austinburg Rehab and Bella Care Hospice for their care and concern to Mrs. Hamilton.
