Dorothy Marie King, 58, of Buxton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born October 12, 1959 in Biddeford, daughter of George L. and Patricia A. (Hannigan) King. She was educated in Old Orchard Beach, graduating from Old Orchard Beach High School with the Class of 1977.

Dottie started working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 1985, and proudly worked her way to Administrative Specialist for the United States Federal Probation Office, where she retired in June of 2010. She enjoyed going to her 2nd home in Cape Coral, FL. , traveling, cooking her famous Mac N’ Cheese and whoopie pies, helping her brother Chris at his Campground, and most of all, being with her grandsons.

She is predeceased by both of her parents and a younger brother, Timothy L. King in 1964. She is survived by: Her fiancé Arthur Shaughnessy of Buxton Her daughter Kimberly Thompson and her significant other Aaron of Buxton 2 brothers: Chris King and his wife Ruth of Biddeford Joseph King and his significant other Cheryl of Florida Grandchildren: Avery George and Dean Wesley 1 niece, 3 nephews, and many loving friends and family. Visiting Hours will 2:00 to 5:00p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.
