Douglas Edward Burleson age 59, of Sanford, Fl. , passed away April 20, 2018. Mr. Burleson was born February 21, 1959 in Johnson City, Tennessee, the son of Wilson and Virginia (Freeman) Burleson.

He played trumpet in the band for Seminole High School, he played softball, coached and umpired. Douglas was an avid University of Tennessee Fan. His family remembers him fondly as a “gifter”, he had a big heart and loved his daughters.

Douglas was an electrician for over 25 years, he was employed with Tri City Electric for over 10 years; and most recently Marbin Electric. Mr. Burleson was predeceased by his father Wilson Burleson. He is survived by his mother Virginia Burleson, his loving wife of 33 years Rebecca L. Burleson, three daughters Stephanie Burleson, Ashely (Danny) Kreiter, and Charlotte Burleson.

Douglas is also survived by his sisters Suzanne Burleson, and Sherry (Dwayne) King. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM at Gramkow Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Joe Wendorph officiating.
