Douglas Edward Daniels, 57, a former resident of DeWitt, Arkansas and Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Mr. Daniels was born in St. Charles, Arkansas on June 2, 1961 to Novella Mariner Daniels and the late Willie Daniels. After graduating from DeWitt High School in 1979, he earned his B.S.E in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1983 and his Masters degree in Education from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2002.

Affectionately known as Drills, Mr. Daniels was a former resident and retired school teacher of Kansas City, Missouri, where he taught for 26 ½ years. He attended several Outreach congregations and Friendship Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He was very active after retirement, working with students of all ages teaching them to twirl and also with dance teams all over the Midwest of the United States.

Many of his former students went on to college to earn Band scholarships at their respective schools. Mr. Daniels was an avid reader throughout his life. He was a fun person to be around and was well liked by everyone.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Bridgett Daniels and Alice F. Daniels Ice.
