OBITUARY Douglas John Lindsey June 17, 1965 – September 9, 2018 Douglas John Lindsey, 53, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his home in Dallas Center. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14th at Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St. Ankeny, IA 50023). Family will greet friends at the conclusion of the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Douglas was born May 17, 1965, in Perry, Iowa to Sylvia Jean (Hohanshelt) Lindsey and was adopted by his father Jon Lindsey. He graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1983.

Douglas was currently employed with Beecher Group out of Des Moines. Doug enjoyed listening to music and watching car racing. Doug liked to spend his free time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Doug is survived by his mother, Sylvia Lindsey of Ankeny; father, Jon Lindsey of Des Moines; brothers: Brandon Lindsey of Des Moines, Ronnie Lindsey of Arkansas; and sister: Therese Lindsey of Arkansas, and a nephew, Sven Lindsey of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Geraldine Hohanshelt and Fred and Maurine Lindsey.
