Richard “Dick” Little, 84, of West Burlington, died at 1:52 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at his home. Born December 28, 1933, in Burlington, he was the son of Vincent and Hazel Bell Little. In 1954, he married LaVonne Turley.

She later passed. On August 10, 1996, he married Corrine “Cori” Lease in Burlington. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1951.

Dick worked for Burlington Wilbert Vault for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the from October 15, 1954 until September 10, 1956. Every morning, Dick and his group of friends would go to McDonalds and then to the mall.

He enjoyed reading westerns, playing on the computer and “putzing” around outside. Dick also enjoyed spending time and joking with his family and grandkids. Survivors include wife, Cori Little of West Burlington, seven foster children, two step-children, John (Haley) Steele of Galesburg, IL, and Jennifer (David) Carley of Mount Pleasant, four grandchildren, Gavin, Emily, Anthony and Nicolas.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother, Harold, and two sisters, Mary Moser and Bonnie Stewart. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the family to receive friends Monday, October 22, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The memorial service for Mr. Little will be 11:00 am Monday, October 22, 2018, at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Graber officiating. Full military honors will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be at a later date.
