Obituary for Dr. Howard Jacobs Dr. Howard S. Jacobs, age 65, passed away on January 1, 2019. Preceded in death by his father, Carl Jacobs. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Amy Jacobs; mother, Ruth Jacobs; daughter, Sarah Jacobs; son, Daniel (Jodie) Jacobs; sisters, Andrea (Michael) Goldstein and Cynthia (Norman) Hinman; and grandchildren, Lyla and Oliver.

He is also survived by his in-laws, Gerald and Florence Lander; brother-in-law, Steve (Giselle) Lander; sister-in-law, Rachael (Ralph) Stewart and 10 nieces and nephews. Howard was an avid cyclist and music lover. He was Attending Headache Specialist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University.

Prior to his work specializing in pediatric headaches he was a general pediatrician for 30 years in Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3rd at 10 AM at the Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St., Columbus, followed by burial at Bet Olam Cemetery in Beachwood, OH, promptly at 3 PM. Shiva will be observed in Cleveland at the Party Room at 2202 Acacia Park Dr., Lyndhurst on Thursday from 6-8:30 PM, and Friday from 1-4:30 PM and in New Albany at the Jacobs residence, Sunday from 11 AM – 2 PM and 5-8 PM, and Monday and Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
