Obituary for Dr. William E. Pease Dr. William E. Pease, age 91, of Naples, FL and formerly of Camp Hill, PA and Bethany Beach, DE passed away, Friday, May 25, 2018 at Vi at Bentley Village in Naples, FL. Born April 9, 1927 in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Jennie S. (Marsico) Pease. Dr. Pease graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School Class of 1943 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University, Philadelphia, PA in 1947.

He continued his studies and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1950. Pursuing his career in medicine, Dr. Pease served his internship at Sacred Heart Hospital in 1951; hospital residencies with Dearborn VA Hospital in 1952, District of Columbia General Hospital in 1953, Washington VA Hospital in 1954, and Hahnemann Hospital Fellowship in 1969. Dr. Pease was a dedicated and well-respected cardiology specialist with Harrisburg Hospital and Moffitt, Pease & Lim Associates in Lemoyne, PA.

He provided exceptional care to his patients in the fields of internal medicine and cardiovascular disease for over 65 years. Dr. Pease belonged to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, FL, St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, DE and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II serving his country from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1946.

Dr. Pease enjoyed going birding with his wife in the U.S., Costa Rica, and Norway. He was a volunteer guide with the Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary providing tourists with the best experience of the Western Everglades and was a member of numerous bird watching associations. His other activities included running, boating, gardening and extensive traveling.

He was also known to have an appreciation for wine and fine dining. In addition to his parents, Dr. Pease was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Patricia G. (Schulz) Pease and by his daughter Dr. Maria Pease. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Rebecca Kelly and husband Michael Horowitz, Ph.D., Robert E. Pease, Esq.

and wife Sue McDonough, Esq. , Andrew J. Pease, Ph.D. and wife Elizabeth Scali Pease, Ph.D., daughter-in-law Catherine Koger; his brothers, Dr. Louis J. Pease; Joseph M. Pease and Robert F. Pease and his wife Maureen; five grandchildren, Raphael Horowitz, Matthew, John, Walker and Caroline Pease, as well as three great grandchildren Alex, Jackson and Parker Horowitz. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg with the Rev.

Thomas J. Rozman as celebrant. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg. Viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday May 31st at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
