Obituary of E. Warren Childs E. Warren Childs, age 91, formerly of Mayfield, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Fulton Center, Gloversville. He was born August 24, 1927 in Mayfield, the son of the late Edward and Mary Warner Childs. He served in the US Army during World War II.

He worked in various capacities in the area and later owned and operated WPC Vending for many years. Warren is survived by three children, Sheryll Kowalski (Daniel) of Mayfield, James Childs of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and David Childs of Mayfield; a sister, Thelma Childs of Gloversville; three grandchildren, Sarah VanSlyke (Brad Morehouse), Michael Childs and Steven Childs; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Childs and Lilith Moorehouse VanSlyke. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, W. Polly Proctor Childs.

A Memorial Service will be announced in the spring. Interment will take place in the spring at Mayfiled Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mayfiled Central Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 432, Mayfiled, NY 12117.
