Earl E. Henry, age 82, Kingsville, died Wednesday afternoon at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Twp. following a short-term illness. He was born October 5, 1935 in Cherryhill Twp.

, PA, the son of Harry C. & Gertrude M. (Brown) Henry and lived in South Ripley, NY for many years before moving to Ashtabula Co. in 1995. Earl was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was married to Barbara L. (Headley) Smith on June 29, 1982 in South Ripley, NY.

Earl was a farmer most of his working life and spent nine years as caretaker at Lake Shore Park before his retirement. He was a member of the Amboy United Methodist Church and a former member of the South Ripley, NY Volunteer Fire Dept. Earl enjoyed sports, hunting and being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, four children, Eunicy R. (David) Dolan of Kent, Charles F. (Samantha) Smith of Erie, PA, Lela M. Yeager of Kingsville &Melinda B. (Jeff) Carter of Conneaut; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Davey, Ashley, Michael, Kaylea, A. J., Terra & April and two siblings, Pearl (Bob) Mains of Apollo, PA & Harry (Ruth) Henry of Ripley, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Blair, Ronald, Claude & Theo Henry and Annabelle Widdowson, June Surovy & Mae Kuhfeld. Memorial services will be held Monday at 1:30 P. M. at the South Ripley United Methodist Church, 10008 N. E. Sherman Rd.

, Ripley, NY 14775 with the Rev. Betsy Schenk of the Amboy United Methodist Church officiating. Burial of ashes will be in South Ripley Cemetery.
