Earl Steinle January 11, 1937 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Earl Steinle, 81, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, December 23, 2018 at his home. Born January 11, 1937 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, he was the son of Ed and Virginia (Shultz) Steinle. He was raised and received his early education in Oklahoma until the family moved to Mulvane, Kansas.

He graduated from Mulvane High School in 1955. In 1956, he joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country until receiving an honorable discharge in 1959. Following his military service, he began working as a Computer Analyst for Boeing Computer Services.

Earl was united in marriage to Judy Courtney on June 6, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma. Earl continued working for Boeing Computer Service for over 37 years, retiring in 1993. Following retirement, he enjoyed raising cattle and woodworking.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #136 in Mulvane as well as the Midian Shriners. His family includes his wife Judy Steinle of Winfield; his daughter Shannon Shipley of Alva, OK; his step-children, David Simon and wife, Deb of Colorado Springs, CO; Danny Simon and wife, Sharon of Mulvane; Kristi Simon of Winfield; his brother Max Steinle of Derby; and his 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a son Earl Ray Steinle, Jr. and a granddaughter Lakin Collier.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Grandview United Methodist Church north of Winfield. Interment will follow at the Mulvane Cemetery in Mulvane, Kansas. A visitation is scheduled for Friday evening December 28, 2018, from 4 to 8 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
