OBITUARY Eddie Mae Goodwin February 23, 1924 – October 12, 2018 Eddie Mae Goodwin, 94, entered eternal rest on October 12, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas. She was born February 23, 1924 to the late James Edward Williams and Naoma French Williams. Eddie Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Goodwin; parents, James Edward Williams and Naoma French Williams; sister, Marvona Smith; and brothers, James Michael O’Pry and Billy O’Pry; great grandchild, Grant Edward Goodwin.

Left to cherish her loving memory, sons: Jerry Wayne Goodwin & wife Supap and Edward Goodwin & wife Becky; grandchildren: Mark Goodwin & wife Natalie, Gregg Goodwin & wife Bridget, Allen Wayne Goodwin, and sister Leta Lin Langfelt; great grandchildren: Leslie Goodwin, Rachel Goodwin, Blake Isaac Goodwin, Elizabeth Goodwin, Katherine Goodwin, Jerry Wyatt Goodwin, Andrew Jacob Langfelt, Skylar Ray Langfelt; great great granddaughter: Riley Marie Goodwin; brother: Bobby O’Pry & wife Linda; sisters: Jo Munholland and Pat Corron. Eddie Mae had an extended family. Her father, James Edward Williams, died from a ruptured appendix three months before she was born.

Her mother was widowed and left to raise two young girls. Her mother married Julius Audie O’Pry and he raised and loved Eddie Mae and her siblings as he would his own children. He was the only father they ever knew.

She was raised with two step brothers, Jake and Julius Edward O’Pry and twin step sisters, Dessie and Bessie O’Pry. Funeral services for Eddie will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
