Edean Adams Schofield 89 passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday May 22, 2019. She was born December 21, 1929 to Wilford and Hazel Beazer Adams in Layton, Utah. Edean grew up in Davis County and graduated from Davis High School in 1947.

On November 8, 1948 she married the love of her life Sherman Schofield, later sealed April 22, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. They together raised three children Sherma, Kerry, and David in Clearfield, Utah. They spent their time together with their children and family traveling throughout the nation.

During their retirement years they spent time either in their motorhome or on their boat fishing at the George. They found their favorite and most relaxing time in the winter months in Yuma, Arizona. Edean and Sherman loved their hockey team and we believe as a family they might be one of the oldest season ticket holders to the Salt Lake Golden Eagles and the Salt Lake Grizzles.

Currently Kerry is still following their passion and continues their tradition. Sherman passed away on March 18, 1991 while they were in Yuma. Edean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Clearfield 3rd ward where she served in many positions throughout her life.

Mom was involved with the Pink Ladies at McKay-Dee Hospital, for a number of years and served as president for a time. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Edean was always generous and constantly thinking of others.

She is loved and will be missed, greatly. She is survived by her three children, Sherma (Larry) Stuart, Kerry Schofield, and David (Nikki) Schofield, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one sister Hannah Williamson, many nieces and nephews. Edean was preceded in death by her husband Sherman, two sisters, Marjorie Robins, Maurine Tolman Robins, two brothers, Lynn Adams, Don Adams, and one great-granddaughter Mya May Stuart.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Cascade Springs Home Health and Hospice and to Ryan at homecare for his kind and professional care. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 3rd Ward, 300 North Vine Street. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No.

Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
