Millbury- Edith B. (Boardman) Wood,92, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Umass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind two children: Kenneth A. Wood and his wife Janice, of Whitinsville MA, and Douglas Wood and his wife, Stacey of Goffstown, NH. Edith also leaves behind six grandchildren: Courtney Wood, Victoria Wood, Jake Wood, Jaclyn Wood, Jordyn Wood & Derek Wood.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert C. Wood, who passed in 1991. Edith was born in New Bedford, daughter of Horatio and Edith (Youngs) Boardman. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and New England Technical and Engineering Institute.

She worked for many years at Millbury Ford Mercury in Auburn prior to her retirement. She was also an active member of the Congregational Church of Grafton for many years. Per Edith’s request, there will be no services held and there will be a private burial arranged by the family at a later date.
