Edith Lucille Turley Shrout, 97, of Sharpsburg, died Wednesday morning, May 30, 2018 at Ridgeway Nursing Home in Owingsville. She was born in Montgomery County August 22, 1920 to the late Clyde and Clay Richardson Turley. Edith was both a Bath County and Sharpsburg native and a member of the Christian Church.

She owned Crescent Beauty Salon in Sharpsburg and was a member of several organizations including Eastern Star, Girl Scouts, and “Rebecca’s”. Edith loved her flowers, doing crafts, her beauty shop and especially being a grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; daughter Diana Shrout Stull (Gene) of Sharpsburg, two grandchildren Dina Thorne and Crystal Brashear (Shayne) both of Mt. Sterling, two great grandchildren Ashley Richey (David) of Irvine, Nicole Purvis (Jake) of Mt. Sterling and three great great grandchildren Jayden Richey of Irvine, Olivia Purvis and Rylan Purvis both of Mt.

Sterling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Coleman Shrout, brother Robert “Bob” Turley and Lora Turley Jones. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, services at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory.
