Shirley “Shirl” L. Ginter, 54, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born August 24, 1964 in Fort Benning, Georgia, to the late Lonnie and Vada Sharp Richardson.

“Shirl” was a member of the Camargo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed; reading, taking care of her flower garden and vacationing at the beach. “Shirl” also enjoyed raising awareness and helping others by participating in breast cancer walks.

She will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include; her brother Jeff Richardson (Amanda) of Winchester, sister Tina Richardson of Gadsden, Alabama, niece Sophia Richardson of Winchester, nephews Aaron Richardson (Brittney) of Boaz, Alabama and Jeremy Smith (Sarah) of Gadsden, Alabama. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, the Ginter Family and her hospice care family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Ginter and sister Karen Richardson. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00AM at Camargo United Methodist Church. Steven Housewright will be officiating.
