Michael Harold Rose, 73, of Jeffersonville, died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Montgomery County on April 25, 1945 to the late Edgar Sr. and Katie “Kitty” McCoy Rose. Mike was a Montgomery County native, member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church, member of Masonic Lodge #23 in Mt.

Sterling and retired from Hobart in Mt. Sterling and Richard’s Industry in Frenchburg. He enjoyed; deer hunting, fishing, playing golf, family vacations, camping, loafing at Frank Brown’s shop in Frenchburg and most of all, spending time with his family.

Mike will be dearly missed by his family, friends and church family. Survivors include; his wife, Patty Woosley Rose of Jeffersonville; one son, Tony Rose (Cindy) of Campbellsville; one daughter, Karen Barber (Michael) of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Joan Greer (David) of Mt.

Sterling; six grandchildren, Ryan Wells (Holly), Brandi Downs (Bradley), Brooke Stull (Kyle), Josh Frailey (Kayla), Brittany Rose and Wesley Rose; five great grandchildren, Emma Branham, Hunter Downs, Avery Downs, Mallory Stull and Garett Frailey; host of cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Rose Rogers; three brothers, Edgar Rose, Jr., Gary Rose and Gerald Rose; two sisters, Mary Leggett and Peggy Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Jeffersonville Baptist Church.

Funeral Service and Masonic Rites will be Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1:00PM. Visitation 11:00AM-1:00PM, both services will be held at Jeffersonville Baptist Church. Committal will follow the funeral in the Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery.

Pastor Linville Spangler and Steve Creech will be officiating. Pallbearers: Rob Brown, Gerald Hammock, David Wilson, Gary Haymaker, Bobby Willoughby, Cecil Trent and Gary Eagleston. Honorary Pallbearers: Grandchildren & Great grandchildren, Deacons of Jeffersonville Baptist Church, Robert Landrum, Frank Brown, Bobby Shoupe and Jim Peoples.
