Schlifske, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at The Manor of Kenosha. She was born on May 9, 1924 to the late Elmer and Martha (Radke) Prenzel in Ludington, MI. She was educated in the schools of Ludington and attended Michigan State.

On August 31, 1947 she married Kenneth Schlifske in Ludington, MI. He preceded her in death in February of 2001. Edith was a member of the Senior Center where she began tap dancing in her 70’s, going to nursing homes to perform.

She loved volunteering at the Civil War Museum, the Anderson Arts Center and the Durkee Mansion. She also enjoyed playing bingo. Edith is survived by her loving daughter Linda (Roy) Groves of Kenosha, her grandchildren Kellie Santucci and Kristoffer Groves and her sister Phyllis Sharer of CA.

She is preceded in death by her sister Lorraine Conchis. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Private interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
