Lorraine Labanow July 31, 1921 – December 30, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lorraine Labanow, 97, formerly of Kenosha, late of Chandler, AZ, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was born on July 31, 1921 to the late Frank and Pearle Madden in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School and from a vocational school in bookkeeping.

Lorraine worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Kenosha Hospital and for the First Congregational Church in Kenosha. On August 22, 1942 she married Walter Labanow at the First Methodist Church. They lived in Texas for a short time where Walter was stationed with the Army Air Corps.

Lorraine moved back to Kenosha when Walter was stationed overseas. Upon his discharge they continued to live in Kenosha. Lorraine was a member of the First Methodist Church in Kenosha and volunteered in the soup kitchen.

In 2013 she moved to Arizona to be closer to her family. Lorraine is survived by her son Gary, her daughter-in-law Naomi Labanow, her granddaughter Stephanie Purcell, her grandson Paul Labanow and her great grandsons Jeremy, Ben and Jackson. Funeral services for Lorraine will be held on Friday, January 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Salem Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
