Obituary of Edith Thompkins Edith Lee Mary Tompkins, 78, of Port Saint John, FL, and later Conshohocken, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018 in her Conshohocken home surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law, and faithful dog, after a brief second battle with cancer. She was born on October 5, 1939 to Robert Leonard Bomboy and Elizabeth Rebecca Bomboy of Harrisburg, PA. After high school, Edie moved to Florida and worked for aerospace contractors at NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center for 12 years.

She then worked as a legal assistant in Brevard County, FL until she retired. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Powell, and son-in-law, Mark Powell, of Conshohocken, PA. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph Tompkins, her dear brother, Leonard Bomboy, and both her parents.

Edie will be laid to rest in Georgetown, South Carolina. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Graham Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Hucks Field Cemetery at 10 a.m. on March 3, 2018.

Edie was a self-proclaimed “rocker” with a wry sense of humor. She loved children, animals, seashells, nature, dancing, gardening, sewing, and art. We miss her.
