Obituary of Leonard Watson Leonard Paul Watson, 82, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Tidelands Health Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on August 4, 1935, in Horry County, he was a son of the late Leonard Bright Watson and the late Bertha Murrel Holmes Watson. Mr. Watson was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years and was in the Bible Sunday school class.

He was a US Air Force veteran and retired from International Paper Company after more than 40 years of service. Mr. Watson was a past member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing and watching westerns. Survivors include one son, Carlton Leonard Watson (Chao-Yee) of Georgetown; one brother, Tommy Watson (Alice) of Georgetown; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mavis Williams of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by sister, Betty June Watson; and a brother, Jerry Giles Watson. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.

Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ringel Heights Baptist Church, 78 Rubin Ave.
