Edward Gibson, 83, of Hallie passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Edward was the son of the late Johnny and Leona Hollins Gibson. Surviving is his wife: Lonnie Dixon Gibson; 1 daughter: Zoni (Glen) Hampton of Redstar; 1 son: Ralph Shuffler of Whitesburg; son-in-law: Gary Rogers of Hallie; grandchildren: Fred (Cat) Jones, Rachel (Adam) Phillips, Eric Edward (Ashley) Shuffler, Heather Shuffler Johnny Boy (Tamera) Eldridge, Jonathan “Worm” (Jessica) Eldridge, Nicole (Randall) Roberts, and Janet Rogers; great grandchildren: Jayden, Abby, Riley, Kadence, Keegan, Cecilia, Gunner, Chloe, Gabby, Caleb Edward, Gale, Carter, Hailey, Zander, Hila, Braxton, Hailey, and Logan.

Edward was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Venisha Rogers; fishing buddy and best friend: Lilly Eldridge. Funeral: 12:00 O’clock Noon Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Vergle Caudill and Tim Amburgey officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
