Janie Ashworth, 54, of Blackey passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at her residence. Janie was the daughter of Harlan Sumner Jr. of Hazard and the late Opal Chaney Sumner. Surviving is her fiancee: Oscar Wagner of Blackey; 1 stepson: Jody Wagner of Blackey; 1 brother: Paul Sumner along with a host of grandchildren.

Janie was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Tamara Beverly and Shelly Beverly; 1 sister: Janet Conway. Memorial Service: 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Little Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Earl Combs officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Little Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Jent Cemetery at Carcassonne, Kentucky.
