Obituary for Edward T. Coté Jr. Print MECHANICVILLE – Edward T. Coté, Jr of Dewey Ave, died peacefully on Janury 23rd following a very long battle with multiple illnesses, with his “M&M girls” by his side. Born in Cohoes, on March 13, 1953, he was the son of the late Edward and Adelaide Coté, Sr. Ed graduated from Cohoes High School and continued his schooling at HVCC and then received his Masters degree from SUNY Albany. As a young man, Ed worked as a self employed salesman until the onset of his first illness.

He was a former Elks Lodge member in Troy and enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, especially the NY Giants and NY Yankees. He will be remembered for his spot on Donald Duck voice by his nieces, nephews and friends. Survivors include his “M&M girls”(mommy & Meaghan), wife Clara McBride Coté, whom he married June 5, 1988 and daughter Meaghan(John) Amann of Mechanicville, beloved granddaughter Noelle Amann, siblings Linda Kent, Carol(Henry) Guilbeault, Cheryl(Andy) Currie, Susan Carney and Robert(Mary Turner) Coté, sister in law Melissa Coté, close friend Lance Stanzak, the McBride in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was predeceased by his brother Michael Coté. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So.
