Obituary for Edward Vasco Hughey Jr Mr. Edward Vasco Hughey age 78 of Jefferson Georgia entered eternal rest on November 12, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born October 17, 1940 in Jackson County Georgia to the late Rev.

V. S. and Mrs. Lucy Bell Martin Hughey. Vasco was a 1962 graduate of Bryan High School. He attended Solar Tech/Jackson Creative and worked for Quality Foods for several years.

His love of reading was phenomenal and was always a movie lover. He was a “people person” who never met a stranger. His gift to life was to make everyone happy.

June, as he was so affectionately called was preceded in death by his only sister, Mrs. Lucille Hughey-Cooper. His life will be cherished by his brothers, Willie (Annie) Hughey, Jefferson Georgia; Ralph Hughey, Jacksonville, Florida; the Rev. J. T. (Glenda) Hughey, Athens Georgia; John (Brenda) Hughey, Gainesville, Georgia; and Bobby (Vivian) Hughey, Stone Mountain, Georgia; brother-in-law, Rev.
