Edwin (Ed) C. Nelson,79 of Greensburg died Wednesday June 20, 2018 in the Excela Westmoreland Hospital. He was born on May 29,1939 in Dunkirk, N.Y. and was the son of the late Ray and Aslaug Paulsen Nelson. Ed was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received his masters degree from Syracuse University.

He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had been a member of the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed his traveling, fine dining and good wine. He also liked working with computers and genealogy and was an avid reader and stamp collector.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Fry, and children, Richard D. (Marjorie) Nelson, Amy Nelson Miller, Scott Edwin Nelson and Kristen (Andrew) Wooster, Cory and Brenan Ramler. His seven grandchildren, Chelsea and Madelyn Miller, Caden, Piper, Quinn, Fletcher and Theodore Nelson. Family and friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N Main Street, Greensburg on Sunday from 1:00 till 3:30 PM followed by a funeral service with the Rev.
