Elaine J. Dusenberry, 91, of Orion, formerly of Rock Island, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her home. Services will be 11 am Saturday with visitation from 9 am until service time at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.

Memorials may be made in care of the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Elaine was born on February 23, 1927 in Valley City, North Dakota, a daughter of August and Irene Kapaun Nimmick. She married Donald “Don” Dusenberry on August 15, 1946 in Davenport.

He preceded her in death in 1993. Elaine enjoyed being outdoors, bowling and watching sports, especially football. She was past treasurer at the Moline Elks Lodge which has since closed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Pamela (John) Comstock, Orion; grandchildren, Kelly Dusenberry, Jacob (Kristie) Morehouse and Tiffany Comstock; great-grandchildren, Mason and Zoey Morehouse; and siblings, Lola Fletcher, Orion, Harold Nimmick, Dubuque, Iowa and Dale “Bill” Nimmick, Cordova, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, parents, daughter, Cindy Morehouse, son, Ronald Dusenberry, sister, Donna Porzelt and brother, Willard Nimmick.
