Eldon’s Obituary Obituary Eldon Broncho, 71 Eldon Steven Broncho, 71, of Fort Hall, passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2019. Eldon was born February 29, 1948 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Wilford L. Broncho of Fort Hall, Idaho and Ethel Thomas of Owyhee, Nevada. Eldon attended schools in Fort Hall and graduated from Riverside High School in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He served his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airbone and 82nd Airborne Division during Vietnam. He was awarded a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and a commendation medal. He served from February 19, 1968- February 18, 1974.

He worked as a welder for the BIA Irrigation and Roads Department for 32 years before retiring in 2009. Eldon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. Eldon is survived by his sons, Aaron F. (Jodi) Broncho and Nick A. (Reynese) Broncho; brothers, Cecil Broncho and Kenneth (Mary) Broncho; sister, Hazel (John) Diaz; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and best friend, his Rottweiler, “Reggie”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford Broncho and Ethel Thomas; brother, Darrold Broncho; sister, Marilyn Thorpe Valdez; maternal grandparents, Henry & Rosie Thomas; paternal grandparents, Simon & Rosie Broncho; and his girl, Lady, the Rottweiler. Eldon will be taken to his residence at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 188 Broncho Rd. A traditional burial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Gibson Cemetery.
