OBITUARY Elias G. Pena December 21, 1937 – December 7, 2018 Elias G. Pena, a resident of Falfurrias, Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the age of 80. He was born on December 21, 1937 to Brigido Pena and Constancia Mireles Pena in Falfurrias. Elias married the love of his life, Maria Ercilia Morales in 1958 and together they raised two children, Ronald and Dana.

Mr. Pena was a United States Airforce Veteran. He worked as a Pipefitter, Instrumentation and AC/Refrigeration Technician for over 35 years with the Celanese Corporation until his retirement. He was an amazing father and great provider for his family.

To his children and grandchildren, he was an excellent role model that they learned many valuable life lessons from. Elias is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Ercilia Pena; great-granddaughter, Mia Christine Sosa; brothers-in-law, Rodolfo Rene Morales, Isidro Morales, Felix Morales, Jr. and Richard Lawhorn; sister-in-law, Grace Morales; nephew, Raymond Lawhorn and niece, Margie Lawhorn. He is survived by his son Ronald (Irma) Pena, Sr.; daughter, Dana Lynne Sosa; sister, Annabelle Lawhorn; five grandsons, Ronald (Leanna) Pena, Reuben James “RJ” (Brynda) Pena, Michael Andrew (Jessica) Sosa, II, Christopher Jay (Angie) Sosa and Steven Sean (Ruth) Sosa; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Marie Pena; 11 great-grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Pena, Jacey Andrew Pena, Alexandra Ilene Pena, Alaina Jayde Pena, Lillian Grace Pena, Samantha Jo Davila, Gabriella Alis De Leon, Ezekiel Jay Sosa, Xavier Mario Cantu, Mia Celest Cantu and Josiah Steven Sosa; sisters-in-law, Mary Morales, Eliza Garcia and Edna Morales; brother-in-law, Roberto Morales; nephew, Kenneth Lawhorn and many extended family members and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with the Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
