Elizabeth “Betty” Schneider, 91 of Dunellen, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday July 16, 2018. Born in Middle, she was the daughter of the late henry and Elizabeth (Rea) Wagner. Betty worked as a secretary at Ortho Pharmaceuticals in Raritan for 40 years, before retiring in 1986.

She was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Parrish in 1976, and by her second husband, John Schneider in 1985.

She was also predeceased by her brothers, James, Henry and Charles Wagner, by her niece Patricia Wagner and by her great grandson, Jake Lubacz. Betty is survived by her daughter Susan Parrish Lubacz and husband Ted of Dunellen, her grandson Christopher Lubacz and wife Jacklyn, her granddaughter Amanda Lubacz and her great grandson Aiden Lubacz. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Robert Schneider of Seattle, WA, John Schneider and wife Laura of Glen Gardner, James Schneider and wife Michele of Milford and step daughter Carol Schneider of Belmar.

Also surviving Betty are her step grandchildren Paige, Raechel, Yvonne, Matthew and Nicole as well as by her nieces and nephews: Kevin and Gregg Wagner, Charlene and Ann Wagner, Charles, Robert, Cliff, Donny, Brian and Ricky Wagner, Jerry, Mark, Keith, Kevin, and Daniel Parrish, and Mary Beth Kester Parrish as well as by many great nieces and great nephews. Friends may visit the family on Saturday July 21 from 11:00AM-2:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at 1:45pm at the funeral home.

Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Betty’s name to a charity of your choice.
