Obituary for Elizabeth Bridges Ezell Elizabeth Bridges Ezell, died on December 14, 2018 at Mount Pleasant, SC. She was born August 6, 1921 to the late Max and Bessie Caldwell Bridges. She married Earl Geer Ezell on June 2, 1943.

They were married for over 65 wonderful years, until his death in 2009. Mrs. Ezell will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her kind and gentle ways will long be cherished by her family and friends.

Raised in Spartanburg, she was an honor graduate of both Spartanburg High School and Converse College. She worked as a secretary in the business office of the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. Later she was the administrative secretary at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.

In 1977 Mrs. Ezell and her husband formed Earl G. Ezell & Co., Inc., a Real Estate appraisal company. She served as vice-president and secretary of the company for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.

Mrs. Ezell helped in the Audio-Visual Aids Department and taught Sunday School in the Beginner Department. She was a former member of the Forenoon Garden Club and the Athenaeum Book Club. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Lynn Elizabeth Ezell of Atlanta, GA and Kim Ezell Patterson and her husband, Lewis Patterson of Clemson, SC; three grandsons, Daniel Patterson and his wife Jenny, Jonathan Patterson and his wife Cady, and Richard Hendrix, III.

She was predeceased by her husband and her brother, Max Bridges, Jr. Graveside services will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, conducted by her grandson, The Reverend Jonathan E. Patterson. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the W. O.
