Elizabeth I L Pointe Hise , April 27, 1945 — January 13, 2019

Elizabeth I. (LaPointe) Hise, 73, of Conneaut, passed away Sunday evening, January 13, 2019 at Pleasant Ridge in Girard, PA. She was born April 27, 1945 in Island Pond, Vermont, and was the daughter of Donat and Lillian (Hendricks) LaPointe. Elizabeth graduated from St. Mary School in Island Pont, VT on June 7, 1959 and then earned her certificate in hairdressing and cosmetology from Wilfred Academy in Boston, MA, on February 28, 1964.

She then married the love of her life H. Robert “Bob” Hise on August 28, 1965 at the Church of Saint James the Creator in Island Pond. She was a warm and loving in-home care giver in the late 70’s to mid 80’s. Elizabeth was an amazing seamstress and loved creative sewing and fashion.

She was the proprietor of Masquerade Inc., where she designed and created an inventory of over 500 costumes enjoyed by hundreds in our surrounding areas. She enjoyed visiting her family in the summers in the lakefront cabin built by her father in Morgan, Vermont, and fishing. She even won a Fish Ohio award in 1985 for an amazing large channel catfish that she caught out of Conneaut Creek.

Elizabeth was also an avid treasure hunter. Survivors include her daughter Suzanne M (Charles) Pratt of W. Springfield, PA; her son Christopher M. Hise of Conneaut; and her sister Victoria Williams of New Providence, NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband H. Robert Hise in 2010; her brother Harry LaPointe; and her niece Kathe Bailey.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Tim Kraus of Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 PM, Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth to Ashtabula Catholic Charities, 4200 Park Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
