Elizabeth J. “Betty” Naegele, 78, passed away June 7, 2018 at her home in Mason City, Iowa. She was born September 1, 1939 in Cannelton, daughter of the late Virgil Simpson and Alberta (Frakes) Puckett. Also preceding her in death was her husband William Naegele, step-father, Jay Puckett and sister Clara Zilliak.

Betty had worked at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home and was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed watching IU basketball. She is survived by her son, Mike Simpson, New Smyrna Beach, FL and daughter, Michele “Micki” Cronin, Mason City, Iowa, brother, James L. “Jim” Simpson, Jeffersonville, IN and grandson, Eric Simpson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Humane Society.
