Mary Elizabeth Yarborough Hoyle, 102, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born December 1, 1915 in Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Charlie A. Yarborough and Dora Blanton Yarborough. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth N. Hoyle; brothers, Tyson Yarborough, Merle Yarborough and Lowell Yarborough.

She is survived by her children, Mary Drye (Jim), Steve Hoyle (Jane) and Dan Hoyle… Read More » (Vicky) and Grandsons, Brian Hoyle, Darin Hoyle, and Landon Drye. Elizabeth was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was active in the church working in the Sunday School nursery for over forty years.

Many thanks go to Dr. Rebecca Love of Medicine with Mercy & Grace and Silvia and Kelly of Carolina Caring, formerly Catawba Regional Hospice, for their kindness and compassionate care. The family will receive friends on Saturday from Noon to 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Shelby. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs.
